On the 27th of May, 2006, from 16 till 18 p.m., in the Scientific Council conference hall (3rd floor), students, graduate students and teachers of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University will have an opportunity to meet the European Union delegation on occasion of celebration of the Day of Europe.
On the 19th of May, 2006, the solemn celebration of the Day of Faculty of International Economic Relations and Tourist Industry will be held for the first time in the history of the University. Students and teachers are invited to be spectators of the festive concert which will take place in the assembly hall of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (main building). Beginning at 12 a.m. Free entrance.

From the 21st till 22nd of April, 2006, the Pan-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference of students, post-graduate students and young scientists "Problems and Prospects of Economic Development and International Integration" took place at the Faculty of Economics of V.N. On the 16th of May, 2005, at the meeting of heads of departments of the Faculty of Economics, the following problems were discussed: preparation for examinations and changes in principles of examination results estimation in view of introduction of the modular education system. The problems of preparation for the Faculty Council and implementation of the decision of the labour collective conference from the 31st of August, 2004, with the purpose of introduction of principles of programme and purpose management of the educational process and scientific research quality in the University, were also considered.
On the 8th of May, 2005, the veterans of the University were congratulated on the 60th Anniversary from the Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War, 1941-1945. The University Administration, together with the professional committee of students, organized solemn congratulation of veterans at home. The veterans were presented with gifts and anniversary medals “60 years from the Victory Day”.
The All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference of students, post-graduate students and young scientists, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, was held in April 2005, according to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, at the KhNU on the basis of the Faculty of Economic, together with the Scientific Student’s Society.
